LETTER NO 5
Our First Festival as a Throuple
Music festivals have always been a big part of our story.
Over the years, we’ve danced through Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, countless Insomniac events, Ritvales in Medellín, Tomorrowland Belgium, Exit Festival in Serbia, Awakenings in Rotterdam, Sónar in Lisbon, Sonus in Croatia, and many more.
But our first festival as a throuple was Tomorrowland Brasil. And that’s when we realized…festivals aren’t built for groups of three.
For the “premium” camping, Tomorrowland separates campgrounds based on the package level. Only those who bought the same camping tier can access that area. The problem? Every package is designed for two people.
No options for three. No flexibility.
To make it work, we had to buy two Spectacular Tent packages (each for two people). We split one tent with a friend to offset the cost. Since the three of us always sleep together, our friend ended up with his own private tent.
He was definitely the winner in that deal.
It made us think - why is the world still so stuck on “parties of two”?
